Nicolay, Springfield, Illinois, 1 November 1860. 1 page, 8vo, tipped into Tarbell's extra-illustrated Life of Lincoln with other documents (see below). Lincoln satisfies an autograph seeker just days before his election to the Presidency. The letter reads in full: "Herewith I send you my autograph which you request." Not in Basler or Supplements.
