(17¼ x 13½ in.), ON PARCHMENT, with large engraved vignettes, blue papered seal (rubbed in a few spots), accomplished in manuscript, ink faded on signatures, vellum wrinkling; matted and framed. Appointment of H.L. Gilmore as Commissary of Subsistence of Volunteers with the rank of Captain. Interestingly this document was signed by Lincoln one month to the day prior to his assasination.
