(2 7/8 x 1 7/8 in.), late eighteenth century brown morocco, covers with a gilt border incorporating floral and foliate ornaments surrounding a large central gilt floral ornament, spine in 4 compartments, gilt-lettered in one, a repeated floral ornament in the rest, single decorated silver clasp, spine ends worn; upper hinge cracked, some marginal fraying (occasionally affecting some catchwords), some minor browning, a few leaves partially detached.
