Lot of three Belgian Velodog revolvers including: 1.) 5mm Pinfire. 2.25" barrel length. SN: 2355. Nickel metal finish and checkered black hardrubber grips. Double-action 6-shot loading-gate revolver patterned similar to Lefaucheux patent revolvers. Item features a folding-trigger and dovetailed front blade sight. Item shows no surviving manufacturer marks but displays the ELG{Star} within circle mark indicating pre 1894 manufacture. 2.) 5.75mm Velodog. 1.6" barrel length. SN: 4989. Casehardened frame with jeweled hammer and blued finish to other metal parts. Checkered hardrubber grips. Double-action loading-gate revolver with manually operated ejector, exposed hammer, and 6-shot cylinder. Topstrap is signed A. FRANCOTTE A LIEGE while Belgian proof marks appear to cylinder and right frame. Frame displays fine floral scrollwork overall with a similar design carried over to cylinder above chambers. 3.) .22 Short. 1.5" barrel length. SN: NSN. Nickel finish transitioned to brown patina overall with pearl grips. Double-action loading-gate 6-shot revolver with manually operated ejector/cylinder pin retainer. Item features a fluted cylinder and folding trigger. Topstrap marked THE BABY/CLEMENT ARMS CO with top of barrel stamped BELGIUM. Cylinder and frame show Belgian proof markings. Condition: 1.) Fine. Bore is frosty with some patches of patina and light pitting near muzzle. Metal finish shows some edgewear with flaking to cylinder in two parts and to right side of barrel at forcing cone and beneath front sight. Brown patina forming in losses. Flaking spot near front sight shows oxidation. Grips have light handling wear with some scratches. Action times and indexes correctly with tight lockup. 2.) Fine. Bore is bright with crisp rifling. Metal finish fades to a brown patina over gripstraps with some mottling at rear frame and on hammer. Some flecked losses to blued finish but item retains bright casehardening and bluing. Grips show some scattered scratches. Action times and indexes correctly with tight lockup. 3.) Fair. Bore is dark with light pitting near muzzle and a patch of oxidation. Metal finish is primarily a brown patina with some nickel remaining to hammer, trigger, and to ejector rod arm. Grips show some light scratches with stains at butt on both panels and a chip to right panel at forward frame. Action is not functional
