Lot consists of: (A) Early WWII fiber Hawley liner. CONDITION: Liner is in excellent condition and retains its original shape, suffering no warps or tears. There are several scuffs and scratches on the exterior from service wear. Interior is in very good condition with intact sturdy hardware. The metal components show no signs of corrosion or rust. The liner is complete with a clean leather sweatband and a chinstrap that shows light wear with minor creases. (B) M1 helmet liner marked with the Westinghouse Electric Company "W". CONDITION: Liner is in good condition and displays evidence of late war to post war repaint. The liner has dark green OD-7 paint on the surface with the original OD-3 paint visible through the various cracks and areas with paint loss. The liner also has "MP painted on the front with "71G" painted in either side in between a white strip. There are several scuffs and scratches from service wear. Interior is in very good condition with intact sturdy hardware. (C) M1 helmet liner marked "Inland / 23". The sweatband has "39038060 PENRY" written on it in pen. This serial number is ID'd to Harrison R Penry Jr. who enlisted in San Francisco California during January 1943. CONDITION: Liner is in very good condition and retains most of its original paint. There are several scuffs and scratches from service wear. Interior is in very good condition with intact sturdy hardware. The liner is complete with its original leather sweatband and chinstrap that is somewhat pliable. (D) M1 helmet liner marked with the Westinghouse Electric Company "W". CONDITION: The liner was originally painted green but was repainted white at some point. There are several scuffs and scratches from service wear. Interior is in very good condition with intact sturdy hardware. The helmet is complete with its original leather sweatband and pliable chinstrap. (E) M1 helmet liner marked with the firestone "F". CONDITION: Liner is in very good condition and retains almost all of its original paint. There are several stains and scratches from service wear. Interior is in very good condition and the liner retains its original sturdy hardware. The helmet is complete with its original leather sweatband and pliable chinstrap. (F) M1 helmet liner marked with the Westinghouse Electric Company "W". The helmet retains about half of its original paint. Interior is in very good condition and the liner retains its original sturdy hardware. The liner is complete with its original leather sweatband and pliable chinstrap.
