Highlights include a full-length ambrotype portrait of a stocky, self-assured gentleman wearing a blue tie and seated at a table with his walking stick. Canes feature prominently into the compositions of two other images, wherein a jowly man holds a white-tipped cane and a man with a mole above his lip clasps a round-handled cane with both hands, with inscription on mat reading, "E. Marble Age 52." Another sitter, presented with a furrowed brow and a dark suit, is identified, with inscribed paper reading, "Lewis Thayer."
