Lot consists of (A) Japanese officer's katana, ubu nakago, with signature on right side. Pierced tsuba with florals. Gilt catscratch habaki. Lazy choji midare temper. Floral menuki, floral fuchi kashira with company level blue and brown knot and brown tsukumaki. Appropriate brown lacquer saya. CONDITION: Good. Blade is mostly in polish with a some shintetsu and old inactive oxidation. A few chips at kissaki. Saya is very good with one area of roughness on left side. (B) Officer's katana, ubu nakago, with signature on right side, left side with four full length notches. Gilt tsuba. Fuchi kashira of expected form, with brown on brown knot. Gilt menuki in the form of flowers. Plain habaki. Oil tempered blade with indistinct straight hamon. Green saya. CONDITION: Good. Blade has some shintetsu scattered about and a few spots of patina. There are visible marks from where someone attempted a cleaning at one point. Locking notch bent and has also bent the tsuka-ito. Saya is fine with some handling marks throughout. (C) Japanese officer's katana with signature and Showa stamp. Menuki depicting dogs. Green tsuka-ito. Loop at kashira is missing. Pierced tsuba depicting wooded scenes. Active choji-midare temper line. Officers brown lacquer saya. Accompanied by a small piece of paper with kanji writing. CONDITION: Fair. Sword with spotting throughout and some shintetsu and old oxidation. Some chipping to cutting edge throughout. Tsuka-ito a later wrap. Tsuba with a few dots of shakudo gilding.
