The lot sold as seen owing to the absence of a known collation for Loudon's work. For Goldsmith's work 46 plates are all that were originally published; the 'Directions to the Binder' leaf contains 24 asterisked plates numbered 49 to 72 described as 'supplementary plates, and as such ... not necessarily included in the present edition'.
