This amazing medium resolution photograph (Lunar Orbiter frame V-103M) was taken with the 80mm lens from an altitude of 1236 km. The Sea of Moscow is well visible at the bottom. Latitude: 37.85° N, longitude: 178.75° E. The Lunar Orbiters had an ingenious imaging system which consisted of a dual-lens Kodak camera, a film processing unit, a readout scanner, and a film handling apparatus. The film was processed, scanned, and the images transmitted back to Earth. Condition Excellent condition.
