Scarce Winchester Model 1873 One of One Thousand lever action short rifle with consecutive serial number to lot No. 1331, manufactured in Japan by Miroku and imported by Browning Arms Company on behalf of Winchester with factory box. 20" octagonal barrel chambered in .357 Magnum with rifle rear sight, blade front, and full length magazine tube. Receiver is engraved with scroll on a punch dot background. Left side depicting a bull moose in a meadow in his own vignette. Right side depicting elk in the scroll with 2 panels forward of loading gate with more scroll on background with blank ribbons and accenting geometrics across top. Barrel flats engraved with scroll on a punch dot background approximately 1 - 1/2" from breech with "ONE OF ONE THOUSAND" and a 1 - 1/2" set of engraving near muzzle on same flats. 2 piece checkered well-figured walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and checkered shotgun buttplate. Chance to own a rifle and a "short" rifle with consecutive serial numbers and in new condition. CONDITION: Appears new in original box, possibly only test fired. Retaining all of the original factory finishes. Stock and forearm are near mint showing little to no wear. Bore is bright and clean. Box is excellent and complete.
