Cornillac, 1824. 8 o (181 x 113 mm). 5 lithographed plates. (Some foxing.) Original printed wrappers (spine partly split, some wear at corners); cloth folding case. Second edition, but the FIRST to include the treatise on bookbinding. PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by the author: "Mairet was the first professional lithographic printer to write a book about the process" (Twyman), and his account, first published in Dijon in 1818, precedes Senefelder's treatise.
