Rabbi Shimshon son of Ya’akov Shimshon HaCohen of Modon (1679-1727), among the scholars of Mantua, disciple of Rabbi Yehuda Brail. Author of Kol Musar (Mantua, 1725) as well as additional compositions. This is a complete composition which he authored just prior to his death and he did not live to see it printed.
