Kronecker was appointed professor at the University of Berlin in 1883 (Leo Motzkin was one of his students there) Kronecker contributed to the development of the notion of continuity and developed a theory on the importance of whole numbers. The mathematical terminology “Kronecker’s Delta” was coined after his name. It is unknown to us whether the handwriting of the manuscript is Kronecker’s; a manuscript volume with identical content is at the library of the University of Strasbourg, see enclosed material.
