Hermans, Karel Mengelberg and Jan Wiegers W. 3 ills. signed w. monogram "zi" and w. 5 additional sketches, mostly portraits of Langeweg. Langeweg (1891-1970) was a Dutch artist who displayed a unique perception of reality and initially drew inspiration from magical realism. He received his education in Amsterdam, but later moved to Flanders. Langeweg attended the academies of Ghent and Bruges and lived in Paris for some time. His subjects are often figures, still lifes, nudes, landscapes and fantasy figures.
