Bound typed manuscript with numerous corrections in pencil with two pencil two studies (on three sheets) by Dick Martin tipped in and TLS laid in from the author to Fred M. Meyer, April 26, 1979 . 194 ff. Folio (285 x 220 mm). Dark red boards with gilt-lettered spine. Condition : minor soiling to spine edges, endpapers offset. Provenance : gift from Eloise Jarvis McGraw to Fred M. Meyer. original manuscript for the fortieth oz book with two sketches . Parts of the typescript for Merry Go Round in Oz (Chicago: Reilly & Lee Co., 1963) are heavily annotated with many sections crossed out. The Martin sketches are for the endpapers and an omitted heading for Chapter 17. Meyer also bound in Xeroxes of correspondence of McGraw with Martin and Meyer (June 12, 1963 to March 15, 1967) and Xeroxes of sketches for four abandoned illustration. At Meyer’s urging, the McGraws wrote another Oz Book The Forbidden Fountain of Oz that The International Wizard of Oz Club published in 1980. [With:] The Ozmapolitan .
