Darinnen nach historischer Warheit, die berühmtesten Städte, Vestungen, Marckflecken und andere Oerter, sampt ihren Antiquitäten... Frankfurt am Main (M. Merians seel. Erben) 1688 (but c. 1700). Folio (202x20 mm). Engraved additional title after J. Sandrart (reinforced to inner margin with loss of plate mark, minor worming to lower part), 9 double page engraved maps, 44 double page, a few folding, engraved plans and plates /views (complete, some minor spotting and staining, Roma with some spotting to upper part, some folds, some plates with repairs on verso; text with minor spotting mostly marginal, repair to title of "Anhang", minor worming to title) Later half leather with red boards (probably mid 18th-century), gilt spine with gilt title, partly worn and rubbed. Collation: (1, 1 blank), 160, (11, 1 blank), 29, (3) pp. First edition. With larger views of Rome and Venice, as well as views of Bologna, Ferrara, Florence, Genua, Lucca, Mantua, Milan, Messina, Naples, Padua, Palermo, Siena, Turin, La Valetta, and Verona.
