Black leather bridle and reins have brass buckles and escutcheon plate decorations, and bronze rosettes with applied letters "A." Lot also includes a black leather breast strap with heart shaped brass Martingale plate embossed with an eagle and wreath, and bordered in a stamped floral pattern. The plate is mounted on a multi layer leather heart shaped background. The side straps are decorated with brass discs and braided leather edging, complete with buckles. Provenance: John Ashworth Collection Condition: Good. Over half of the braided edging on the breast strap is missing as are two brass discs, leather finish crazed.
