Later plain wrappers. "Minard was a pioneer in thematic cartography in the sense that he had almost no pattern to follow... After Minard's retirement as an active engineer in 1851, he produced several maps each year, save for one or two, until his death in 1870. These were published in editions of a few hundred to perhaps a thousand copies and apparently were widely used in official circles" (Robinson). Robinson 47.
