Four parts in four. 12mo (16.2 x 9.7 cm). 1,350 [xlviii, 352, 366, 290, 295] pp. Engraved frontispiece, 75 copper-engraved plates {22; 41; 10; 2]. Uniform contemporary full speckled calf. Spines with five raised bands. Compartments rich gilt with floral vignettes, two red morocco labels with gilt titles. Marbled endpapers. Edges speckled red. Spines a bit dry, of part II joints starting at head. Several larger folded plates with paper repair or reinforcements, as these tend to become torn at the point were they are pasted into the book, one plate with the outer margin much frayed, and chipped into the printed area. One folding plate with a large tear (no loss) into th eplate, but easily repaired. One leaf, containing pp. 285-286 of part two, missing the lower half with some text. Otherwise a very good, complete set, with all the plates.
