.54 caliber, 8.5" round barrel with military marks on the left side of barrel. Barrel pitted at nipple. Walnut stock with brass furniture. Lockplate marked H. Aston; on the rear of lockplate dated 1846. Tang dated 1846, captured ramrod. This pistol comes from the direct descendants of Col Joseph C. Audenried. Condition: Sub-inspector's initials are visible on the barrel. Hammer and lock are dull. Stock has some nicks and dings with visible cartouches on the left flat opposite the lock. Chip on hammer.
