.58 caliber, 40" barrel with V P and eagle barrel proofs on the left flat. Lockplate dated 1862. Walnut stock. Condition: Barrel and lock is a nice gunmetal grey with some pitting and a light coat of Rusto on the barrel. Pitting around the percussion bolster. Stock has some nicks and dings. Bore would clean to better.
