FIRST EDITION IN THE SCARCER TAN CLOTH BINDING of Montgomery's first book, dated "April 1908" on verso of title page. Sharing the adventures of "Anne with an 'e'" as she is sent to live on the farm of Matthew and Marilla Chuthbert, Anne of Green Gables still remains a popular and enduring work among "kindred spirits" in the U.S., Canada, and abroad.
