Monumental Carved Walnut Throne Chair. High back has a seashell and filigree carved crest with maiden's head, oversized gargoyle heads at the top of the scrolled posts, flowers, filigree and griffin's heads carved along the back panel and posts; oversized full figure lions form the arms of the chair with square carved front legs having acanthus leaf carved finials and pierced carved stretchers with filigree centered with maiden's heads. Refinished, overall good condition, the lion's legs each have a repair to the leg that the tail wraps around, 1 tail missing and 1 tail missing its end. 63.25 in. high x 32.5 in. wide x 31 in. deep.
