MUHAMMAD ALI VS. JOE FRAZIER CONTRACT A nine-page Ancillary Rights agreement for Frazier and Ali for a fight to have taken place at Cobo Hall in Detroit on September 21, 1970. The fight ultimately took place at Madison Square Garden on March 8, 1971 but the contract agreement remained the same. The contract is signed by all parties including the last page in blue ink Muhammad Ali aka Cassius Clay and Joe Frazier (excellent condition). The agreement assigns radio, television and motion picture rights for the fight and includes the complex formula by which Ali and Frazier were to be compensated. This particular fight was also eagerly anticipated as Frazier had emerged as the top contender to Ali while he was in exile from 1967 to 1970. Amazingly, Ali was willing after three and a half years of exile to fight Joe Frazier in his first fight.
