A personal letter asking that a certain Baroness be welcomed as he is going to help her if he can; he is going to Berlin for three days for the baptism of his granddaughter. Liszt apologizes for not having another copy of the Rhapsodie, and states that if it is impossible to reconstruct the old one he might even orchestrate it a second time. He closes the letter with greetings for the recipient's wife.
