Trumps are full-length figures, double-ended Arabic numerals in wide borders, and feature important events and persons in Napoleon's life. Trump 1 Pagat is the Mamluk bodyguard, Roustan, 2 Napoleon at military school in Brienne, 1784-1785, 3 Napoleon commanding artillery at the siege at Toulon in 1793, for which Napoleon received new rank of Brigadier General, 4 Napoleon receiving surrender of a blindfolded Austrian officer at Lodi in 1796, 5 dispatching a messenger, 6 Napoleon in Arcole or Rivoli in 1796, 7 Napoleon standing guard in place of an exhausted soldier, 8 Napoleon at the Egyptian pyramids after his victory over the Mamelukes in 1798, 9 comforting the plague stricken at Jaffa after capture by Napoleon in 1799, 10 defeat of the Turkish army by Napoleon before Cairo in 1799, 11 crossing the Alps towards Italy in 1800, 12 entering Milan, 13 and 14 represent battles against the Austrians at Marengo in 1800, 15 assassination attempt on Napoleon's life in 1801, 16 the Pope on a mule arriving in Paris in 1804, 17 Napoleon crowning Josephine in 1804 at the time of his own "coronation" by Pope Pius VII, 18 Napoleon and Josephine visiting the provinces of the empire in 1805, 19 Napoleon meeting the Austrian emperor after his victory over the combined Russians and Austrians at Austerlitz in 1805, 20 Napoleon decorating a soldier in front of the troops, and 21 Napoleon speaking with his staff.
