Lot of 19 items, including: a large NRA street flag (measures 36 x 50 in.; an individual NRA membership card and an NRA business membership card; pipe and cigarette advertisement card with the NRA emblem; a collection of 7 cello and lapel pins from the group; six stamps with the insignia; and a framed 1934 NRA Poster (measures 10.5 x 15 in. sight and 12 x 16 in. with its frame). The National Recovery Administration was an organization designed out of Roosevelt's New Deal. The goal was to eliminate competition in industry promote fair practices between businesses and laborers. Supporters of the group displayed the Blue Eagle in their shop windows, on shirt lapels, and other places. In 1935 the supreme court ruled the NRA law unconstitutional because it infringed upon the separation of powers. The group disbanded, but many of its provisions reappeared in the National Labor Relations Act that same year. Condition: All the items are in very good to near excellent condition, the paper products have some browning of the paper.
