This red and black printed issue is by far rarer than the popular March 1776 issue. The £3 denomination is the highest for this issue. Only 9,500 notes were printed, of which a mere 4,750 would bear plate letter B. More importantly, this historic 1776 dated note has been signed by "John Hart," the New Jersey Signer of The Declaration of Independence. This note is well centered on both sides, appears to have crisp paper that is bold in print, with a dark brown "John Hart" signature. PCGS XF-40.
