Arthur Stafford Christie, of 75 (R.A.F.) Squadron, was killed on 21 June, 1942 and is buried in the War Cemetery on Schiermonnikoog, the most northerly of the Frisian Islands. On 4 April 1940, The New Zealand Squadron had been renamed No. 75 Squadron in April 1940. In 1942 they were flying the Vickers Wellington III.
