Lot of 6 CDVs of Civil War soldiers, most unidentified. Four include backmarks from the following studios/locations: Manchester Bro's., Providence, RI; O.C. Benjamin, Newark, NJ; J.C. Reeve, Lambertville, NJ; and J.B. Smith, Utica, NY. Additional highlights include: Studio view of a sergeant seated in a studio setting, pencil identified on mount verso as "S. Sidnester, Rhode Island 21 Regiment." A soldier by this name could not be located in the Civil War database. Double-sided CDV, with one view showing a solder in uniform on obverse, the reverse view showing the same young man in civilian clothing, with penciled ID on mount below image, "R. Winst. Cav." Condition: Range in condition from good to near excellent. Some with trimmed edges or clipped corners. Some with scattered spots/stains. Some retain nice, rich tones.
