Lot of 9 CDVs and tintypes housed in CDV-sized paper mounts, featuring studio portraits of unidentified Civil War soldiers, two of which are credited to southern photographers, including J.W. Hornbaker, Alexandria, VA, and T.M. Schleier, Nashville, TN. A third tintype showing a young soldier wearing a kepi with artillery insignia and "I" includes pencil notation on mount verso, "Taken at West Virginia 1865, 4th Aty. Co I." Additional highlights include a studio view of two Union pards posed together in a studio setting, each holding a hat in hand, with patriotic backdrop; and vignetted view of a soldier with two cent revenue stamp on mount verso. Condition: Range in condition, but good to very good condition overall. Some have been trimmed, or corners clipped. Scattered spotting, few with minor stains.
