This is an exceptional Nikkor-H.C 2/5cm lens, the earliest known to exist and most probably the earliest screw mount Nikkor made by Nippon-Kogaku Tokyo. The collapsible lens comes from the very first small batch of 90 lenses (nos.6091-60990) for Nikon I cameras, until now only known in Nikon bayonet mount. The earliest lens Rotoloni verified was number 6099. This never offered or published lens is in original coupled M39 screw mount. Possibly it is a prototype for the Nikon screw mount camera project. The lens is in very fine, almost mint condition, the barrel engraved 'MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN', with a metal black paint NICCA front cap and a black bakelite Nikkor container.
