Lineman, holding wire. With photographer's imprint of Paddack, Howell, Michigan. Back with manuscript ID Geo. Feely, Mar. 13, 1893. Gentleman mounting a "high-wheeler" (bicycle). Manuscript ID on verso "Ira Eller," no photographer's identification. Hotel porter/bellhop, holding suitcase, with other luggage at his feet. Photographer's ID of Schellhous, Grand Rapids, MI. No other ID on verso. Younger gentleman in uniform, star on sleeve, possibly some maritime occupation. On verso, "Artists & Photographers / Stocktoon Stokes and D. Lothrop, Philadelphia." Photo of an English saddle. No other identification, although there are manuscript notes below image. Middle-aged man and older boy standing at doorway. Signs above their heads read: "Samuel H. Miller / Tin Plate & Sheet Iron Worker." Photographer's identification on verso of Hock & Houston, New York and Pittsburgh. There is also a manuscript note: "407 Locust (?) St. around 1888." Young man in fireman's hat and knee-high boots, with photographer's imprint of "French, Auburn, NY." Young man standing by bicycle, no identification of either photographer or sitter. Condition: Most in good or better condition. Most faults involve handling wear. Fourth has a bit of staining on verso.
