Translation of the De Augmentis Scientiarum (first part of the Instauratis Magna) which is an enlargement of the Advancement of Learning, 1605. STC 1167. With ownership signatures/inscriptions on front flyleaf of H. Cartwright, 1754, and G.W. Southouse, 1836; on the back of the frontispiece is the early signature of Robert Dangerfield.
