Publisher's slip tipped to front flyleaf: "In consequence of the Subscription list for Capt. OLIVER's work on New Zealand being not yet sufficiently filled with names, it is considered expedient to postpone bringing out more Parts of the work, until the number of names should be increased." 9 hand-colored lithographic plates on 8 sheets after Oliver by Dickinson and Co., guarded throughout. (Some occasional marginal spotting.) Original printed wrappers (scotch tape repair on front cover, light spotting); contemporary red half morocco folding case, marbled boards.
