As documented on its factory build sheet, the car was sold new in this country, being delivered on January 24, 1967 to Richard Blauner, the president of Richard Blauner Inc. on Manhattan's Seventh Avenue. Local agent J.S. Inskip was responsible for the order and is listed as having supplied the car in Snow Shadow Grey, with a black leather interior and to have equipped it with the following options: Normalaire air-conditioning; chrome wheels with three ear knock off hubs; a heated rear screen; two Marchal fog lamps; and Britax Lap and Diagonal Safety belts to both front seats. With some original cars, one has to guess as to whether these details were original to the car or if the features have been lost over time. What makes this car all the more interesting is that this is exactly how the car remains to this day, complete with all of these original details. That the car has survived in this way is due to its simple life, being thought to have passed to the former owner, Leonard Fisher of Massepequa in 1969 and remaining with him until recent times. Close inspection of the car today confirms the retention of its desirable features, while suggesting that it has probably been repainted once in its life to the original grey. A 'Cote d'Azur' badge on its grille is more likely to have been a personal souvenir, than evidence of an overseas excursion for the car. The interior is virtually complete in every regard and only the drivers seat shows wear commensurate with its age. The odometer reads 46,430, which is again consistent with the condition of its bodywork and interior. What is interesting about this relatively low number DB6 is the fact that all of the trim pieces are still present as are the Aston Martin electric windows which work perfectly. All told, this has to be one of the finest original 1967 DB6 factory LHDs in existence and it offers the next custodian the opportunity for preservation of its remarkable condition.
