Re-edition (printed with wide margins) of a former scandal novel (first published in 1922) written by the French author Victor Margueritte (1866-1942) attractively illustrated by the Dutch artist KEES VAN DONGEN (1877-1968). “The Bachelor Girl (French: La Garçonne) [..] deals with the life of a young woman who, upon learning that her fiancé is cheating on her, decides to live life freely and on her own terms. Amongst other things, this included having multiple sexual partners, both male and female [..]” (cited from Wikipedia). ¶ A few minor imperfections to the wrappers (occ. sl. frayed/ torn, occ. sl. rubbed/ worn along extremities, occ. sl. finger-soiled/ discoloured), but nevertheless in a good interior condition.
