Patsy McArthur Levitate II, 2021 Graphite on Paper Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Through drawing and painting, McArthur is interested in making imagery associated with the figure in motion. Whether it be bodies submerged in water, jumping, falling, dancing or hula hooping, McArthur's works capture fleeting moments that are usually only a blur or feeling in memory. Since graduating from her MFA in the early noughties, she has exhibited extensively nationally and internationally, with recent shows in London, Geneva and the States.
