Decorated in high relief of gilt, copper and bronze depicting possibly the rakan Dakaharita Sonja in a garden among kikyo (Chinese bellflowers) and other autumnal plants and flowers, holding in one hand a mokugyo (Buddhist liturgical wood gong) and a mallet in the other; signed on the base Kyoto Kumagaya zo. 13.5cm (5 1/4in) diam.
