The year before the defeat of the great armada, Philip writes at length to the Conde, mentioning various ecclesiastical figures (the Bishop of Segovia, and Don Andres de Pacheco, Abbot of the Collegiate Church at Alcala de Henares) regarding funds to be distributed from a certain pension or scholarship bequest; PHILIP II.
