Photos portray the Old City of Jerusalem, Hurva Synagogue, Rachel's Tomb, Western Wall, Tower of David, Gethsemane, churches in Jerusalem, numerous photos of the Temple Mount, main streets in the new city of Jerusalem (Jaffa, Ben Yehuda, King David etc) and prominent buildings ("Bezalel", Sun Dial of Zoharey Hama Synagogue on Jaffa Street, Yeshurun Synagogue, YMCA, Hebrew University and the Military cemetery on Mount Scopus, Government House and Rockefeller Museum); landscape photos and photos in the city's neighborhoods; about 40 portraits of Jerusalemite characters, some identified as photos taken by E.M. Lilien (some of which are used by Lilien for etchings); numerous photos (mainly of Jerusalem and the vicinity) were taken by "American Colony" photographers. Within the album are photos of Arab villages, the cities of Jaffa and Haifa, Jericho and the area of Wadi Qelt, Arnon spring, settlement in the Galilee (Metula area), Tiberias, Naharayim, Kinneret area, Safed and nearby cities in the Galilee, archaeological sites, Petra.
