(6¾x4¾"). Two Guns White Calf, also known as John Two Guns and John Whitecalf Two Guns, a Blackfoot chief, stands in bucksing clothing shaking hands with a middle-aged white man holding a hat. Two Guns has signed the photograph with a pictograph of two rifles followed by a calf or steer. He is known to have been the modelf for the profile head pictured on the obverse of the Buffalo nickel. There is a crude pencil caption on the back of the photograph, "Chief Two Guns Whie Calf Chief... Black Feet Indian." Lot Amendments Condition: Photograph with some minor creasing and silvering in the emulsion, a bit of wear at lower edge, good to very good. Item number: 247350
