PHOTOGRAPHS FROM A TRAVEL IN CHINA. 86 albumen prints, c. 1910, all mounted on stiff boards in an album, c. 120x165 mm. German text beneath, many of the photographs with handwritten number in the corner from the negative (1 discoloured, some faded, some spotting to boards). Brown cloth album with title "China" on upper cover, partly worn and rubbed, split upper outer joint, size of album c. 330x260 mm. Photographs from a travel in China probably with the ship SMS Vorwärts (canon boat built 1899 by Franham, Boyd, and co, Shanghai, later called Woochow, in 1910 used as a passenger steam boat). Views of Hankow /Hankau, The Grand canal /Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Hongkong, Nanking, river Yangtsekiang. Also some photographs from the beginning of the travel: Bremerhaven, Gibraltar (Spain), Suez canal, Port Said, Colombo (Sri Lanka).
