Gothic types 10:155 (title and headings), 7:80 (text). 2- to 4-line initial spaces. (Blank portion of last leaf and corner of DDd7 renewed, some browning to text.) 19th-century red morocco gilt (rubbing to joints and corners). Provenance : Sir John Hayford Thorold (1773-1831), Syston Park Library (armorial and monogrammed bookplates) -- unidentified armorial bookplate (on title) -- G. Steevens (typed name on verso of title) -- Estelle Doheny (paper bookplate; purchased from Dawson's Bookshop, Los Angeles, 1 November 1943) -- donated to SMS 1943.
