Rare plan of the city of Savannah, Georgia, with inset view of Savannah from river front, below title in upper right-hand corner. Also shown is the "Line of Defence thrown up in 1814", a vignette of a steamboat off Yamacraw, as well as a sailing ship off Ft. Wayne, plus the various buildings and streets, the cemetery, city common, etc. Oriented with north towards bottom, with depths shown by soundings. OCLC/WorldCat lists only two copies, at the Georgia Historical Society and Duke University. Phillips Maps p.786. Lot Amendments Condition: Affixed at top margin to thin backing board, neatly split down the centerfold, also splint along the impression line at the lower right quadrant, with a small chip in to margin just beneath the impression line at center, a few marginal chips at edges, mostly marginal darkening and soiling, faint creasing at upper left; good to very good, worthy of restoration.
