Later vellum, lettered in manuscript up the spine, sprinkled edges (a few stitches sometime repaired).

The second edition of this celebrated book of islands, with 17 more maps than the first of 1572, including two of the eight maps relating to the Americas: Jamaica and 'San Giovanni detta Borichen', i.e., Puerto Rico.
