Engraved frontispiece by DANIEL HERZ, letterpress general title and 3 part titles, 15 engraved plates (9 large and folding plates) by MART. TYROFF, JOH. ANDREAS PFEFFEL, and M.-H. RENTZ after JOHANN JOSEPHUS DIETZLER, and 6 armorial plates containing 83 coats-of-arms, woodcut head-and tail-pieces and initials, woodcut Bohemian lion device on second title. (Most of the folding plates with borders shaved at top.) CONTEMPORARY PRAGUE PRESENTATION BINDING of blond sheep over pasteboard, sides with gilt border and central gilt stamp of the rampant lion of Bohemia on both sides within strapwork ornament, gilt ornamental spine, gilt edges (light wear to foot of spine). Provenance : Duke Friedrich August Gervas von Harrach (1696-1749), Austrian diplomat (armorial bookplate). A presentation copy of this most beautiful illustrated record of the entry into Prague of MARIA THERESA (1717-1780) on April 29, 1743, the oath of allegiance to her by the Estates General on May 2nd, and her coronation as Queen of Bohemia and of Hungary on the 12th. The plates notable for their highly detailed and accurate depictions of Prague are by JOSEPH DIETZLER (fl. 1721-1743.
