**Pre-WWII Commercial Colt 1911A1

.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: C171747. Single-action semi-automatic pistol with removable 7-shot magazine, military lanyard ring, long grip safety, exposed hammer, arched mainspring housing, and fixed v-notch and half moon sights. Blued metal finish with checkered brown plastic grips. Features checkering to long spur hammer, mainspring housing, shortened trigger, graduated thumb safety, and slide lock. Markings include standard two-line manufacturer patent dates and Hartford address to left of slide. Right side of slide shows manufacturer name and caliber size, followed by a rampant Colt mark. Marked to right of frame is the model name, and below that is the commercial serial number. Marked to bottom of frame is a gun shop stamp that reads, "SARCO INC EASTON, PA". There is also a rack number "No. 5734" marked to top of slide near rear sight. Left grip is marked "20" in green paint, and right grip has a "7" scrawled with white paint. This specimen was manufactured sometime in 1933. Includes shipping box and two recoil springs. Condition: Fair to good. Bore is bright and has some residue to rifling. Most of finish has worn away and only small amounts remain scattered overall. There is pitting overall and considerable oxidation to areas near trigger, under grips, and thumb safety. Grips are in good condition with exception to paint markings on both.
