Analyse Gographique des Dpartements de la France, 3rd. edition, published Paris, [1836], eighty-five of eighty-six (lacks number forty-three), playing card type cards, each with an engraved map of a French department with descriptive text underneath, card number thirty-seven with small hole, supplied with two additional cards, one with a 'contents list' and one with a a description of the cards, each card 135 x 85 mm, contained in a contemporary card box with hand coloured printed label to upper board, a litttle worn at extremities The additional two cards are numbered III & IV. We surmise that card number two was an explanation of the game and number one is the title card affixed to the box. The maps strongly resemble the miniature maps of Aristide Perrot. Bourrut Le Meri was a Paris based author and publisher of both playing cards and educational cards. (1)
