款識︰藝術家簽名IVHULSDONCK.FE(左下,IVH為相連字體)油彩銅畫板27.8 x 35.1 公分;10 ⅞ x 13 ⅞ 英寸Condition reportThe following condition report is provided by K&S Conservation Ltd. who are external specialists and not employees of Sotheby's:
The painting is presumed to be painted in oil on a single piece of copper. The copper is approximate 1mm thick, hence fragile and easily malleable. There are some dents and cracks in painting, caused by external force, this is particularly visible in the upper right-hand corner. However, they are a sign of the fragile, and nature of the painting support. The preparatory and paint layers are sound, and there is no sign of flaking or corrosion, as is sometime the case with painting on copper. As a result, the paint layers are overall in very good condition. The current restoration has been skillfully executed some time ago. The existing varnish and the retouching have not discoloured or degraded to a significant degree. The surface gloss is even and saturating.
